Scary hand.

Rounders is probably the very first real Texas Hold'em Poker movie which centers around Mike McDermott (Matt Damon) whose sole earning of living is through playing cards. In this movie, there are a couple of really good hands which i have yet to see in any real hands not even in High Stakes Poker or in some other online streaming videos that i have seen so far.

There was a superbly played hand by Teddy KGB against Mike in the beginning of that movie of which it had basically directed the remaining of the whole story that marked Mike to work towards of becoming a better player at the end of that movie than KGB.

Mike had A 9 suited and he raised before the flop and everybody folded whilst KGB called it. The flop came A(spade), 9(spade) and 8(club). Mike had top two pair on the flop. KGB checked. Mike overbet the pot making it look like that he was trying to buy it. KGB paused for a while whilst eating his oreos. He called. Mike guessed that KGB must have been on a flush draw. the Turn card came. a 9 of heart. Mike had got his full house. Both KGB and Mike checked. Mike was thinking and hoping for a spade card to river and KGB would then get his flush. To his wish, a 3 of spade rivered. KGB bet. Mike paused trying to make it look like he was pondering a call. And he went all in pushing all his chips into the pot that was worth nothing less than US 60,000. KGB called. And here's the moment of truth, guess what KGB could have.

Mike - A 9 suited
Teddy KGB- ??
A 9 8 9 3 -(three spades)

Mike has got a 9 full of aces. KGB turns over his cards (AA) and KGB has Aces Full of nines.

This is the kind of hand that both players use the same community cards and both have full house. the way KGB has played in this hand is very much impressive. He has slowed played his hands and it has worked for him. Pick up a copy of this movie by Matt Damon and Edward Norton. Brilliant hand. Scary though.
